Cookie Policy
Short version: yompei.com does not use cookies. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, no session replay. The only thing the site keeps in your browser is your email address, briefly, while you sign up (see below). That is why you don't see a cookie banner — there is nothing to consent to.
What we don't use
| Category | Used on yompei.com? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary cookies | No | The site has no login, cart, or session, so none are needed. |
| Preference cookies | No | We don't remember settings between visits. |
| Analytics / statistics | No | No Google Analytics, Plausible, Hotjar, or similar. |
| Advertising / marketing | No | No ad pixels (Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn, X) or retargeting. |
| Local storage / IndexedDB | No | Nothing is kept between visits. (Session storage is used briefly during signup; see below.) |
Session storage during signup
When you join early access, the page keeps your email address in your browser's session storage so that the second step of the signup can show it without asking again. This is strictly necessary for the form you chose to use. Storing it there sends it nowhere, and it is deleted when you finish the second step or close the tab.
Third-party requests the page makes
Loading yompei.com causes your browser to contact a small number of third parties. None of them set cookies through our site, but they do see your IP address as part of serving the request:
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) — serves the Inter and JetBrains Mono typefaces. Google states that Fonts requests are not used for advertising or profiling and do not set cookies.
- Google Apps Script (script.google.com) — only when you submit an early-access form. It receives your email address and, on the second step, your full name, phone number (if given), business name and state, compliance issue and any other details, plus which form you used and your consent, so we can add you to the waitlist. See our Privacy Policy.
- GitHub Pages and our edge/proxy provider — deliver the site's files.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because we don't track anyone, browser signals like Do Not Track (DNT) and Global Privacy Control (GPC) don't change anything on this site — you are already not tracked. We will honor them if that ever changes.
Managing cookies anyway
You can block or delete cookies for any site through your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge all have a "Cookies and site data" section). Blocking cookies will not affect yompei.com, since it doesn't rely on any.
If this changes
If we add cookies that are not strictly necessary — for example privacy-respecting analytics — we will update this page, list each cookie by name, purpose, and lifetime, and show a consent prompt before setting anything where the law requires it.
